My heart for serving cannot be explained better than, “Okay God, where do you need me I’m all in.” God has taken me down many roads, opened up many doors, and stretched my faith farther than I could have ever imagined was possible. He has called me to serve in places including Downtown Los Angeles and the Dominican Republic. Those trips were stepping stones in my faith and without them I would not be who I am today. I trusted and I obeyed.
It was the trip to the Dominican Republic that really helped launch my missionary story. I fell in love with the Dominican Republic and was not sure why I had left. I had people in my life tell me exactly what I needed to hear: “God is not done with you here, where you are now.” I trusted, I waited and I obeyed.
It took almost two years of waiting and growing before God showed me what my next mission was. It was a normal April day when I realized I needed to start writing. That’s when my horizon’s opened up! I sat down with my Bible and wrote Recognize. I had a dream and with the help of my Heavenly Father and His love for me He made my dream a reality. He can do the same for you! Wait, trust, grow and obey because I’m so glad I did.
